Mission Statement
We here at Absolute Obscurity Records
currently are seeking unique ground breaking electronic instrumental music for our first
CD Compilation of unsigned artist.
We are very particular about the kind of
music we plan to release. We are seeking Instrumental electronic music
created by One or Two artist teams. The category closest fitting this would be Acid Jazz
or Electronica
(We are seeking) Highly experimental synth and sampler based music from the new generation
of composers who take this new technology to the limits. People who have a evolved sense
of sound design and use the abilities of sampling and synths as an extension of the Twelve
tone scale . We want the kind of material they cannot notate on traditional scores, but
retains a sense of melody and identifiable song structure. We want the heady stuff.
between 4 and 5 minutes long mixed to CD or cassette at first then if your chosen for the
release you will need to send a Dat or CD copy and sign a release contract.
All submissions should have been created in
the last two years and not been used on any previous compilation CDs.
